One year ago, Solution Seekers launched with a simple mission: helping organizations create meaningful impact through people, policy, and progress.

Last week, we had the privilege of celebrating our first anniversary surrounded by clients, partners, collaborators, supporters, and friends who have been part of this incredible journey.

Over the past year, we’ve worked alongside leaders and organizations committed to creating positive change, helping turn vision into action and ideas into impact.

To every client who trusted us, every partner who collaborated with us, and every supporter who encouraged us along the way - THANK YOU. Your belief in this work has made this first year possible.

I was so proud to spend National Voter Registration Day at the Historic Little Rock Central High School!

Members of Central Arkansas Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., local chapters of NAACP, and other community volunteers joined forces across our City to register voters for this historic election.

Arkansas ranks LAST in voter turnout, so it’s incumbent on us all to ensure we engage our communities and exercise our right to vote. It starts with voter registration.

Arkansas, if you register by October 7, you are eligible to vote in the November election! Please check your voting status and make sure your family, friends, and associates do too!

Grateful for the opportunity to share with the young people! Let’s get to work, yall!

Hey fam!
I have some cool news to (officially) share: I was recently named Outstanding Minority Advocate by the @littlerockchamber !

For me, serving as Chief of Staff is not about awards and accolades; it’s about DOING THE WORK while operating behind the scenes to counsel, direct, advise, and facilitate. Nevertheless, it feels good when you’re recognized for your efforts, particularly those you’re especially passionate about.

As an attorney, I have a duty to be a zealous advocate for my clients. As Chief of Staff for the capital city, I have over 202,000 clients (residents) that I get to advocate for each and every day. And it’s a real blessing to lead with intentionality and a particular focus on communities that need it most. I am grateful to God daily for the opportunity to serve people and for the purpose placed on my life. 🙌🏾

But this award isn’t just about me. It’s about the collective power of all who believe in equity. Together we can build a better, more prosperous future where everyone has the opportunity and access to achieve the American Dream.

So I share this award with my amazing team who trusts me to lead and who buys in each and every day to (say it with me, yall!) “MOVE THE BALL DOWN THE FIELD” for our residents. 🤣 (We like to have a little fun too! 😜)

To Mayor @frankscottjrlr , thank you for trusting me to craft solutions for our city’s problems. I am forever grateful.

There are friends. There is family. And there are friends that become family.

And WE. ARE. FAMILY.

This weekend, this family got together for some MUCH NEEDED, LONG OVERDUE quality time. After 30+ years of friendship, and the highs and lows that come with it, we were blessed with a chance to unplug from the hustle and bustle of our day to day lives, be “free” as Bran called it, and spend time laughing til our stomachs hurt and crying our eyes out. 🤣 Listen! It felt like the old sleepovers from junior high! 🤣

As Sash said, it felt like a RESET. Jazz described it as “filling an empty cup.” No matter what we call it, just know that we are better than we were before, in a variety of ways, and I’m so very thankful for this sisterhood and our time together in Miami. I think only time will tell just how transformative it was for us all.

We’d be remiss to not give a shoutout to Kaysi, because this trip would likely not have happened without @kaysistravelboutique … As many of you may know, we lost one of our sisters suddenly a few years ago. Kaysi generously gifted us a trip to celebrate her life at her favorite place (the beach), and we did just that. (My girls kept having babies and what not so we have delayed the trip a few years 🤣, but the timing ended up being perfect.)

Kaysi, thanks for your kindness and compassion, making it easy for us to get together. That Newport support is strong. 💪🏾

And thanks, Breeze, for always being that connector and inspiring us to LIVE BIG and enjoy! We love you forever! 💛

2 weeks ago today, Katie & Kristin flew in from TX for a long girlfriend reunion weekend with me & Brandy! ❤️ The last time we were all together was for Brandy’s wedding in June of 2018! But the last time we had quality time together was when Brandy & I went to TX in April 2017!

Let’s be real…adulting is hard, maintaining friendships is hard…EVEN if you’re single (I can only imagine how awful I’m going to be when I have a family to tend to.) I am admittedly a horrible texter- I’m old, tired & ADD…but it’s friendships like these that can pick up after any amount of time & feel like nothing changed from years ago!

So thankful for reunion 2021 in AR!!! ❤️
