Meet Bethy! We first met in 2011 when she joined Bright Occasions as our very first team member. Since then, it’s been so special watching her journey unfold — from building a career in corporate events to celebrating her intimate New Jersey wedding during COVID, followed by another beautiful celebration in 2022! 💍

Now, Bethy and her husband Josh are enjoying their sweetest chapter yet — life with their one-year-old! 🥹

One of the best parts of this industry? The connections that turn into friendships that last a lifetime. ✨

Nobody can do flowers BUTTER than us! 🧈💛 We had so much fun churning out these butter-yellow arrangements. Soft, sunny, and full of texture, these florals were the perfect finishing touch to this butter tablescape, proving that everything really is better with a little butter. ✨

When the presentation is this beautiful, the temptation is irresistible.

We collaborate with clients to cater to their preferences. For this event, we crafted a Cherry Blossom dessert buffet to complement the “Cherry On Top” theme beautifully. From cherry cheesecake parfaits, cherry biscotti, miniature cherry pies, and more, every sweet was thoughtfully designed. The dessert spread had guests coming back for seconds… and thirds.

Hosting a toddler birthday party is not for the faint of heart. Happy Pirate Birthday Party!!! @cozyvillageplaycafe was a perfect location where they set up and clean up for you (with open coffee bar!) @sweetsby_e designed the pirate cake that was too pretty to eat, but delicious! @brush_and_banner_ made the CUTEST banner sign!

You BUTTER believe it!!!! 🧈✨ Bringing our crazy ideas to life doesn’t just happen. It takes collaboration with DC’s most talented (and extra) creatives! Evan from @sweetsby_e is an INCREDIBLE cake decorator (that’s her bread and butter…pun VERY much intended 🧈😂), so we put her skills to the test with our biggest challenge yet: a BUTTER LAMP. And that was just the beginning. Martini glasses filled with butter, hand-piped name cards, butter ribbons…her hands were FULL. 💛 We also called in help from our friends at @shelovesmedc, and they absolutely KILLED it with the most dainty, delicious florals sticking straight out of mounds of butter!!! 🌼🧈 Safe to say, this was a FUN one, and we can’t wait to see what crazy idea we bring to life next!

SPREAD the word!!!! 🧈 Butter-themed tables are the next big thing, and we are sooooo here for it! Our NEW Kerry linen was the perfect base for this delishhhhh tablescape, layered up with florals sprouting straight from mounds of butter and, obviously, REAL butter lamps. 🧈🌼 Safe to say butter is having a total moment over here!!!

Back and BUTTER than ever!!! 🧈✨ The churn of the seasons is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with a full-blown butter tablescape?! I mean, who doesn’t love butter?? Our NEW Kerry butter and white striped linen set the stage, then we layered it up with stripes, ruffles, and of course…POUNDS of butter! Yep, you’re seeing that right. That’s a BUTTER LAMP, courtesy of the incredible @sweetsby_e. And flowers poking out of mounds of butter? @shelovesmedc did THATTTTT! 🌼🧈

Consider this your sign to make your next dinner party or event a BUTTER BASH.

Mackenzy and Samantha wanted a wedding experience that was personal, intentional, and entirely reflective of their story. Choosing a bright, nontraditional aesthetic that felt equal parts loud, cozy, and elevated, they trusted The Manor at Airmont to bring every bold detail to life.

Because they trusted they vendors and venue so completely, Samantha and Mackenzy were able to be fully present and actually enjoy the day as it unfolded, rather than worrying about all the little details behind the scenes.
