There are so many things that go unseen to others while we live with and manage Type 1 Diabetes because we aren’t only resilient but to survive day by day, second by second, “You gotta get up, get out, get into it, get it on to be strong..”

The joy of bringing people together to form in community is my mastery and one in which I emphatically hold dear to my heart.

While living with chronic health conditions there are so many, too many variables that transform us by the minute, if not the second. Only we the people living with it or the caregivers for a person living with it truly understand.

Community is important for people with chronic health conditions because it provides support, social connection, and a feeling of belonging. It helps improve the quality of our life by creating a sense of acceptance, care, and support. Peer support groups are also effective in managing chronic conditions.

Today as we celebrate the life that is Dr. Frederick Banting on World Diabetes Day 2024 and this second chance at life, we all have, we too take a moment of reflection as we also mourn and are tearful for the variables that coincide with living with Type One Diabetes.

If you are in one of my many T1D groups I've formed to help others, I thank you because you too have helped me.

2024 is the final cut of #DiabetesLooksLikeWho Yes, it's a wrap! Thank you for this ride!! I hope you enjoy!!

Don't skip or you'll miss a major commitment that is almost 4 years in the making for the Diabetic Online Community and people living with and managing Type One Diabetes!!

So many of us asked me for this, here we go!!

Welcome to the @ChronicallyWillPodcast
Where we have "Real conversations with community that needs to be heard!"

This is my baby💙

The @ChronicallyWillPodcast (a take on Chronically ill) gifts the opportunity for those that are not pinned in the community, not favored in what is media construction and literacy, nor promoted as others are to be UNAPOLOGETTICALLY THEMSELVES!!

With the @ChronicallyWillPodcast I have dedicated more than 140 recorded hours so far to shine light that needs to shine brighter than the beams that currently exist!!

We will be seen. We will no longer be only introduced on February 1st!!

If you are a person of color and you have a story to tell (we all do so don’t hesitate!!), let’s talk!! From lived experience and education I have been gifted the opportunity to be able to turn a nervous 10 second conversation into 1-2hrs of BEAUTY!!!

This was NOT planned. Koko ended up at the concert with me 😫 Luckily, he slept through most of it 😆.

I don’t advise because dogs are sensitive to sound and vibrations. I was very nervous about his ears: I put some paper outside his earhole, I moved from the front row to the back and we stayed in the outer area until the headliners came on.

Koko is fine! Lol outside of his unfriendliness I have one of the cooolest dogs ever! He’s always down 😆 literally a loyal ridah!
