SWERVE FM MIX #47: CHILD OF GOD.

Efrain Cuessy, also known as CHILD OF GOD., doesn’t play around when it comes to the music. With Mexican roots and Los Angeles ties, he’s managed to bring the purity of the underground electronic sound to Utah with the founding of his no-lineup, no-phone, no-genre parties known as “CLUBCUESSY”. Collaborating with the local scene and sounds from collectives such as New City Movement, FERVOR, and ETA45MINS, Efrain always gives his own voice while maintaining the crowd hot and sweaty to the sounds from his USB.

This 1.5 hour mix originates from the idea of what he would’ve played during the 2 Year Anniversary of CLUBCUESSY, all before a mid-set interruption from local law enforcement. The cops hate him, the dancers love him.

NOW AVAILABLE ON SOUNDCLOUD

Enjoy!

Alejandra Mateus, aka Saundokira.

I consider myself a music lover, passionate about music in general. This has led me to share spaces with many collectives and projects with different musical focuses, and through that I’ve shaped my own style. I’ve also spent many years on the other side—as an attendee at events, as part of the crowd, and I’ve worked in clubs and bars in both Bogotá and Medellín—which has fueled my curiosity for music and broadened my perspective.

In my sets you can find breaks, electro, ghettotech, experimental, glitch, acid, and breakbeat. But I don’t limit myself to just those genres; house, blues, salsa, among others, are also part of my world.

I’m a resident of the collective Break Me, focused on broken rhythms (my favorite), and a resident at Morbo Club, also located in Bogotá.

Hola, acaba de salir el set de electro/techno/etc que le debía a @swerve.fm desde hace unos días, les comparto la descripción del set, unos previews y el link.

"Munir Toral is a multidisciplinary artist from Mexico City who, under the name DJ @bvssett, creates mixes that serve as narratives that interact with the listener's energy. With the premise of promoting a state of ecstasy through storytelling, he draws on elements such as the old promise of the future, the uncertainty of the present, speed, technology, and the spirit of resistance.

Robotic noises resonate from an unpromising present, formulating a blurred idea of the future."

PD: Atentos a la caja de comentarios del link, que andaré compartiendo setlist pronto!! 🙂

Swerve.fm - Mix41

Franzinatra is a multidisciplinary artist, DJ, and producer, and co-founder of the Breakme collective.

In the pursuit of his own sound, he has developed a proposal that mixes diferent types of genres and sub genres, focusing on broken rhythms. His work also embraces experimental sounds and a wide range of bass explorations, moving through styles such as breaks, electro, leftfield bass, drum and bass, jungle, UKG, UK bass, among others.

His eclectic combinations of drops, vibrant basslines, and constant experimentation with carefully selected mixes and rhythms are not only designed for the club, but also invite reflection. In addition, he offers a broad and finely curated musical selection.

“ Raised in Zaragoza, based now in Valencia (spain), Bicha is an artist that explores the darker side of electronic music, where techno collides with IDM, EBM , electro and synth pop. Influenced by the industrial rawness of Birmingham and the futuristic energy of Detroit’s 90s scene, her sets unfold as intense journeys, charged with hypnotic rhythms, dense atmospheres and metallic sounds that draw you to lose yourself on the dance floor. “
