🍄 FUNGI FACTS: Micro-dosing, the law & the magic of mushrooms...

Micro-dosing refers to taking tiny, sub-perceptual amounts of psilocybin. People often report calmer mood, sharper focus and more creativity.

What's the current legal landscape in the USA?

Federally, psilocybin is still Schedule I.
Oregon has licensed psilocybin service centers (since 2023), and Colorado has a regulated natural medicine program (2022). About 30 cities across 15+ states have decriminalized or deprioritized enforcement. Decriminalization is not legalization. More states have bills moving, and some are preparing for a possible FDA-approved psilocybin medicine.

Texas is still a research leader. HB 1802 (2021) made it the first state to fund psychedelic research, aimed at veterans with PTSD. SB 2308 (2025) set aside $50M for ibogaine trials and Baylor is currently running a state-funded psilocybin trial. Research is leading and policy is watching.

🌿Functional mushrooms are legal and non-psychoactive such as; Lion’s mane, reishi, cordyceps, chaga and turkey tail are traditionally used for focus, stress, energy and immune support. Human research is still early, so think of them as a daily wellness ritual with tons of benefits.

🌿Come learn more at our Zen Talks with local industry leaders and see where the fungi movement is headed.

❤️ Like this if you’d rather surf than run 🏄‍♀️🔥

Every week we get a boat full of new friends out on Lake Travis. We surf the sunset, sweat it out in the sauna, jump in the lake, and do it all again.

Same community vibe as a run club, but with no blisters, no 6am alarm, and a whole lot more fun.

✔️ Come solo or bring a friend
✔️ Beginners welcome, we’ll get you up
✔️ Meet people who are into water sports and wellness

All of it happens at Austin Surf Lodge, a watersports and wellness micro-resort on Lake Travis, just 45 minutes from Austin.

Looking for things to do in Austin, a date night idea near Austin, or a run club alternative? This is your sign. 🌟

Officially the BEST weekend of the year, y’all. 🤩🤙🏽☀️

Sunshine. Water. Boats. Boards. Helicopters. Badass women. Big laughs. Real connection. And one seriously special community. 🚁🏄🏽‍♀️🚤💛

@goodspreadsuncare couldn’t be prouder to be the Official Sunscreen Partner of @opgetoutorg + @getoutgirl. 😎☀️

Because Get Out Girl is about so much more than an epic weekend.

Life is going to hand all of us some hard stuff. And this weekend is one big, beautiful reminder that when it does, there are people ready to show up, pull you outside, get you moving, make you laugh, and remind you that you’re not in it alone.

That’s the kind of community we believe in.

Show up. Get outside. Take care of each other. And wear your damn sunscreen. 😉☀️🤙🏽

Wear it. Share it. LIVE IT.

Already counting down to next year. 💛
