Things I don’t do anymore as a creative homebody:

1. I don’t rush to fill a room.
I take my time finding things I love and will actually use.

2. I don’t wait for the perfect time to make something.
I grab a few minutes when I can, usually with my girls beside me.

3. I don’t overlook the things I use every day.
I make brooms, brushes, and textiles that make everyday chores full of light.

4. I don’t expect a spotless home. (this one was hard!)
I've learned to leave room for unfinished projects, crumbs, (Lucy will get them!) and everyone living here.

5. I don’t plan every minute.
I like a little rhythm, with room to wander and stare into space.

I’m Jamie, the mother and maker behind S W E V E N. I love making things by hand and finding beauty in useful objects + everyday life 🫶🏼

If your idea of a good day includes making something and tending your home, we have a lot in common.

I love starting with coffee in the sun, gathering my thoughts on paper, and making room for whatever I'm curious about.

Colored marks in a sketchbook. Something made by hand. Sweeping up everything, and making a beautiful snack. All while decluttering and simplifying systems.
Phew!

I'm learning to give these small pleasures a place alongside the work and responsibilities.

Here at S WE VEN, I share what I'm making, the useful things I love, and the rhythms that help me care for my home and creative life.

If that sounds like your kind of day, I'd love to have you here. xo -jamie

Not to be dramatic but sweeping is my favorite hobby. Making + sharing well-designed utilitarian implements is my new love language. This curly cherry brush cleans my bench, and is the perfect little table crumber. Turns out even the every day tools we use deserve to be ones we love. 🥹
