Grabė. Behind the scenes.
I haven’t been sharing much about my side-questing, but hey, better later than never 🎬
What a journey it’s been. It gets me every time how one single idea can evolve, materialise, and become something tangible. 🫰🏾

With smaller productions tho, you do end up peeing in every corner lol. And sometimes it feels like you’re being spun in the drum of a washing machine lol. One minute you’re directing, the next you’re hauling bags of fertilizer to clear the set, then sending wardrobe mood boards while answering technical questions in between.
But with all that, I feel grateful. With every project I learn more and more.

There were plenty of moments when I didn’t have the answers and had to make emergency calls to the people around me. Hallelujah for the core team for helping carry the weight, or at the very least for spinning around in that washing machine drum with me :D 🫰🏾
This project felt like one beautiful domino effect tho. Starting with my partner in crime @kilometraite._ ,the band @melyna.atgaiva , the crew, the cast, and everyone else who joined along the way. There was so much talent, ambition, and most importantly, passion shared in one room.

Grabė is a story about ‘a hole’, perhaps being broken, stuck, or unable to snap out. There’s something fascinating about cults, so with this we step into a bit of a fever dream and move through different stages towards the release. At the centre stands a cult totem - a card featuring a mythical bird inspired by Caladrius, known for its healing powers. When it looks into someone’s eyes, their suffering is lifted. They become free from their pain, and so the chain reaction begins. 🕊️

May limited time, resources, and availability will be the witnesses to this beautiful final result. 🩷 Proud of everyone involved !

Side story: I didn’t know this before, but Corfu is buzzing with swallows. I had never seen so many. It felt like hundreds were flying right over our heads. Turns out these birds are deeply symbolic in Greek culture and are often associated with good luck and new beginnings.

As I sat there, I thought to myself, “What are the odds I’ll get pooped on by one of them, with so many around?”. Yet I left clean.🖖🏽

Fast forward to back in Lithuania, sitting under a tree where pigeons occasionally fly over. Two pigeons settled nearby, and I had a flashback to watching all those swallows and thinking about the slim odds. I was completely in the moment when suddenly I felt something brush gently through my hair. I looked up and this time, the odds were clear: one in two. ;)))

*I was assured pigeon poop is also linked to good fortune.

Glad to be home.

My first photo book 📖
“OWN WORLD” - is small collection of mixed media works start from 2024 till 2025 around the world with sort of different dancers and creative people.

The name of the book is “OWM WORLD” - because when I doing pictures and especially my mixed media edit on them I creating my own world and show my art prospective of how I see people who in my frame🎨!
