PLAYMAKERS 🎙️

What a great morning on Playmakers! I love these interviews because we get to see the incredible young people behind the accomplishments, and today was no exception.

🏊 West Pocker | Fort Lauderdale High School

West is a senior with a 4.2 GPA, a 3A State Champion in 1M Diving, an AAU National Champion and a six-time USA Diving National Qualifier. He is currently ranked 15th in the nation in the platform event for USA Diving Junior Nationals in the 16-18 age group.

He has been diving with the Fort Lauderdale Diving Team since he was 8 years old, but his accomplishments go far beyond the diving platform. West serves as the CO in JROTC and will be heading to the United States Naval Academy! 🇺🇸⚓️

🏊🏽‍♂️ Noah Mejias | Cypress Bay High School

Just a sophomore, Noah already has a 4.0 GPA and an impressive list of accomplishments in the pool. He is a BCAA Champion in the 100 Fly, a top scorer for Cypress Bay, a States finalist and a member of the South Florida Aquatic Club.

Two outstanding young men. Two very different journeys. Both showing us what happens when talent, hard work, academics, character and leadership come together.

I am so proud of the student-athletes we get to highlight through Playmakers. These are the stories that make what we do so rewarding! 👏🏽

Keep making us proud, West and Noah! 💙🏊🏽‍♂️🏊

The battle doesn't begin in the ocean. It begins here, where every meter matters, every stroke builds confidence, and every effort prepares you for what lies beyond.
