When you hear a K pop song that has your name in it, you should do a choreography to that song.

"Like Jennie"

Thanks to @thebennyhop for working with me on this fun project that was meant to push a few boundaries.

Getting to practice with the @swinggremlins last week reminded me of some great times working with my friend Orville on some lifts during the pandemic for a video project. He was a great collaborator and I was so grateful for this time working together.

A few months back some friends had invited us to the gym for some airstep training in prep for upcoming competitions. Like clockwork, we were inspired (or rather pulled in like moths to a light) to get back into the swing of things. You see, we're no longer spring chickens and our bodies don't recover as quickly as they used to after physical exertion (we were born in the 1900s in the days when our morning cartoons consisted of Thundercats, The Flintstones and the original TMNT).

After the first few weeks of gym aerial sessions and constantly being out of breath and drenched in sweat, I made the decision to start working out again to be able to dance and throw my partner without getting too winded. Fast forward a month and the flying lotus to swinging kip combo is now 25% easier. This training isn't just for the summer, nor is it specifically for an upcoming gig or competition. It is a reminder to not take for granted an able body. I heard a saying the other day - "If you're tired, do it tired".

I still get pretty tired, but my cup is full.
