If we could sum up J & D’s wedding day in one word it would be FUN! They don’t take themselves too seriously, are down for anything and kept each other, and their guests, laughing all day! Here’s a sneak peek of their beautiful day.

Breastfeeding 🤍

Another chapter done in my motherhood journey.

I went into this thinking it would come naturally—that it would be simple. It wasn’t.

Those early months were really hard. We triple fed, did so many weight checks, had LCs come to the house, and I was always worried he wasn’t getting enough. It took a long time before I finally felt okay with it.

I got asked a lot why I didn’t just switch to formula, and honestly—I just wasn’t ready to stop. So I kept going, one day at a time.

Around 8 months, something finally clicked. It got easier, we found our groove, and I knew we’d make it to a year.

And we did.

I’m really proud of that. And also a little emotional closing this chapter. It was really hard at times, but also had some of the sweetest moments I’ll never forget.

Swipe to see the cake Adam got me to celebrate 🤍

(We used formula too—nothing but respect for every way babies are fed.)

I’m still not over this mural reveal for my friends at @swirl_cakes! This is the perfect before and after example of how drastically a mural can change your space. 😍

Last week I shared the finished look for this large Ramsay wall for their new bakery location opening soon.

I completed this mural in October just before Calgary’s first snow fall, so you may have seen this piece brightening up our winter if you happen to drive down 11th St.

This mural, which we aptly named Sweet on Ramsay, includes nods to the original use of the land, history within the community, while tying in modern elements, patterns, and of course bakery elements for Swirl’s new space.

It contains some of my favourite elements to paint; bold colours, florals, typography, and crispy line work on a textured wall.

Shout out to my assistants who helped me complete this mural in record time: @tatsbybritneyspearz, @jessicasartportfolio, and @kkhart.ca and to @dandybrewing and @canadianheritageroastingco for the warm pizza and coffee breaks.

Make sure you’re giving @swirl_cakes a follow to be the first to know about the grand opening and to pop in for some treats!
