Floor elevations and base course compaction. Bottom forms and custom coping fabrication. Radius transitions joined to double barrel spine. Do half of all that in the rain and the other half in the blazing sun. How else would we have it? Another day of set up prep as we continue forward on building this sizable bowl, the third major phase of construction for a very well rounded skatepark in the rural setting of North Kohala. @the_skaviator and @switchuation along side my own self @shotcreature , we came, we conquered. Thanks guys, really getting close to another big concrete push. Rootsskatepark.org

UPDATE: Kamehameha Park entrance has been cleared and reopened to public however the Monkeypod tree at Roots Skatepark has fallen and we are asking that no one attempts to skate as the area has been roped off and closed to the public until we get this cleaned up. Our intention is to use a licensed and insured tree service to salvage usable lumber from the limbs and chip the rest for mulch. Stay tuned as we will be keeping you up to date with our progress and let you know when it is safe to open the skatepark for the community. Note: all work at Roots Skatepark is possible by utilizing the goodwill and generosity of volunteers. Their time and effort is tremendously valuable and adds to the years of in-kind services that have been the core of how this facility has come to fruition. Does that fact matter? The in kind value of the skatepark is in the millions of dollars so it absolutely means the world to this community. Thank you to everyone that has or will make a donation to services or our construction funding at roots skatepark.org , we love and appreciate each and every one of you. #rootsskatepark.org #hurricanelala #bigisland #communityvolunteer

Brian,Tyson,Tony, Junior, Nainoa, Kalima, Brandon , Ryan and myself got the phase three build fired up and rolling again. We love creating this challenging terrain and there has been so much put into the design that we can’t wait to finish it and start riding. An absolute dream coming true. This is a community driven volunteer project which translates this project is seeking additional support if you feel the notion to support our work, go to rootsskatepark.org and hit the donate button. Huge thanks to Andrew, Psalms, and Melissa for donating ice cold drinks, and delicious home made Korean chicken, and insane egg rolls!
