It’s time to get grounded!!! Whether that be food or sex or nature or breath work … it’s time to focus on grounding into the Earth & being fully embodied as we move through out our day.

This stone was discovered very recently in Indonesia in 2012. Not much has been written about it yet. It’s so gorgeous. Every time I’ve worked with it, it’s been for the healing & balancing of my solar plexus chakra, so it’s interesting to get the queen of wands, of fire, as it’s energy - that just resonates perfectly. I feel like I’ve entered into a period of awakening, (or initiation, or heart opening) within the past few days, so the advice to get grounded also resonates deeply. I do a visualization of a light cord around my waist that I take down to the center of the Earth using at least 2 of the senses & this is a very powerful practice for me. I also love going outside and walking around with bare feet or just sitting on a bench , still & silent, until I begin to feel the energy of the Earth vibrating and spreading up my feet, through my ankles & into my legs. It’s a wonderful thing to experience. I recommend opening your mind & heart to the possibility of magic again. If I can rediscover the belief that magic is real and experience this much wonder & joy in my 40s, after decades of deep cynicism & hopelessness, then I promise…anyone can.

I was talking about goulash (hunky mess) with a good friend tonight and remembered I had this picture of a newspaper clipping featuring my paternal grandma and her Hungarian cooking. She was 100% Hungarian romani gypsy. I make my goulash using Anthony bourdain’s recipe and sub lentils and sunflower seeds for ground beef. 🇭🇺

Who am I?

I am infinite.
I am eternal.
I am learning to view this life as cyclical rather than in a linear fashion.

My father passed away a few days ago. He contracted Covid which turned into pneumonia. It has been one of the hardest things I’ve had to go through, and I’ve been through a lot of death in my current lifetime. However, I’m finding out that recently acquired beliefs are helping me through this. That on a higher level, we get to choose our own death and that our loved ones never leave us - they are always around - that Dad does really live in my heart (just like so many children’s stories told me long ago) and that I’ll always be able to talk to him & feel him near me. I hope he understood everything I was trying to convey to him on his deathbed. A few things that came up, I’ll always treasure & thought I’d share…

I wrote this poem awhile ago & recently it’s been popping into my mind as I work with affirmations. It’s been a long time since I’ve written anything (a part from these posts) creatively - I’m starting to feel that delicious pull again - that maybe it’s time to carve out space in my life for poetry. I know now how much writing from my heart, with full vulnerability & transparency, has helped me grow so much as a human being and for that - I’ll be forever thankful.
