A very special week calls for some very special outfits. Couldn’t be prouder to rep these brands, and for @PeppermintMagazine to be the Premium Media Partner for the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Public Program and the @IndigenousFashionProjects Country to Couture runway events. A very full week packed to the brim of celebrations for the incredible art and design from the world’s oldest living continuous culture. @DarwinArtFair 🫶🏽 #DarwinAboriginalArtFair #IndigneousFashionProjects #IndigenousFashion Top and earrings by @delvene_cockatoo_collins_art - who was the Fashion Designer of the Year winner of the #NIFAs 🙌🏼 “Delvene Cockatoo-Collins is a First Nations artist and designer, who lives and works on Quandamooka country. Delvene’s work embodies a rich connection to country, capturing the Quandamooka soul. Her pieces share the stories, culture, heritage and techniques of thousands of years, passed down from generation to generation by her mother Evelyn and her grandmother Bethel.” Bag by @sybella_ with fabric from @yalanjiarts Dress was from @wearethefabricstore years ago - an order that was cancelled by a major brand meant the store ended up with tons of these black linen dresses. At the time I think all of our team had one! Throwing in a standing ovation for my talented, kind, hardworking, tenacious and gorgeous friend, @Lauren_Rogers_Art_ (and the Senior Program Producer at IFP).
