The 19th anniversary of Antares also means that it’s been 20 years since I joined this amazing band.
So many great memories with you guys over all these years.
Antares is still one of my favorite metal albums, not only because of the incredible talent of Drop and Ben as composers, but also because of Dirk’s drumming on this record. His playing is absolutely tremendous.

It was a huge honor for me to step in after him and play his parts. I was still very young at the time, and @dirkverbeuren was a major inspiration for me as a metal drummer.
To this day, I think his style is truly unmatched. He brings such a unique groove and feeling to metal drumming. There’s something instantly recognizable about the way he plays. You just know when it’s Dirk behind the kit.

A huge thank you as well to all the fans and to all the incredible people I’ve had the chance to meet throughout these 20 years. Thank you for all the amazing moments and memories we’ve shared along the way.

Thank you guys for these 20 years. ❤️

P.S. This is my first real Instagram post, so please be kind! 😄

Opera Mundi: A negra biogênese!!!

“Somos imperfeitos procurando perfeição! ”
Vanessa Kerber

Antares — Sybreed
Reroute To Remain — In Flames
Demanufacture — Fear Factory
Celldweller — Celldweller
The End Of Heartache — Killswitch Engage

Futurismo. Precisión. Melodía. Electrónica. Pegada.

Dirk Verbeuren performing “Revive My Wounds” by Sybreed. ⚡🥁

Originally released on Antares (2007), “Revive My Wounds” is one of Sybreed’s defining tracks, showcasing the speed, precision, and powerful grooves that helped establish Dirk Verbeuren as one of modern metal’s most respected drummers.

Filmed during Dirk’s exclusive Amarin Productions Drum Clinic in Burbank, California, this performance captures him revisiting a classic from his Sybreed catalog with the same intensity and flawless execution that made the original so iconic.

We did make some great @sybreed music last night (like every time we get together with @obsydrop for that matter).

Even though I’m obviously biased, I feel that the further we progress, the more we reconnect with that special energy that defined our early days. Perhaps it’s because the world is more turbulent than ever – a world whose future, whether it will be a utopia or a dystopia, remains uncertain – but there’s definitely something that’s fueling our creative drive right now.
