Today our Chase would be 28... I think of the 15 years we have missed with you and my heart absolutely breaks but then I’m reminded of the 13 years of laughs and memories we had, and I’m so grateful. My heart so wishes I could have seen him be an uncle, a husband, and a father but I know that his time here was spent in such a meaningful way and that him not being here is not in vain.

I wish he could have seen how incredibly strong, vivacious and fiercely independent @syddan has become. I know how proud he would be of the mother and wife that @_alexsilverman is. How much he would love hangin out with his big bro Dustin. He would have loved being with @kaceydroz and watching all the Droz boys play baseball and Jayden dance! And I think he would have really loved my girls and my Jason so so much!
We miss you Chase, every single day... but thank you for living your life with such intention every day of your 13 years here. We know your work had just begun and we are so grateful you have a front row seat to everything down here from up there.
With such joy we remember you and with such sadness we miss you. Happy birthday sweet brother!

My first Dia De los Muertos Joyful Gathering — the experience of last night will not soon leave my memory. We displayed photos of our loved ones on the ofrenda and we shared joyful memories about them over dinner — we laughed and cried and remembered!
What a beautiful celebration of life and death and the gifts we have been given through both... this is a tradition that will be repeated year after year after year!
