It’s been a long time coming, but here are some EXCLUSIVE behind-the-scenes photos from Unity Fest! 🎉✨ This event was one that the United Greek Council is incredibly proud to have hosted. It gave our community the chance to not only learn about the amazing POC performance organizations on our campus but also gain insight into our NPHC Organizations. More than that, it was a time of bonding and celebration for everyone who came out and participated in our cultural showcase.

A special shoutout to our DJ, Danajah Spivey, our talented dance groups, our Greek Alum hosts Shane Reese and Brianna Keys, and everyone who joined us to make this event unforgettable. We can’t wait to share more exciting events in the future — trust me, we’ve got so much more in store!

We are Uhuru, Kent State's first multicultural magazine! Uhuru, meaning freedom in Kiswahili, serves as platform for marginalized students to express their ideas, creativity, and innovation. Through different mediums such as art, photography, writing, graphic design and more, we aim to discuss racial, social, and political issues we face locally, as well as issues around the globe. We exist to amplify the voices of students of color on campus, because every voice deserves to be heard, and every movement starts with a story.
