As we celebrate 6 incredible years of the @blackeyecareperspective Pre-Optometry Club, we also welcome a new academic year and a newly elected officers. This is a time to celebrate our growth, honor the leaders who have helped shape our organization, and look forward to the exciting year ahead.

Join us in welcoming our 2026–2027 Leadership Team!

🖤 President: Lexxus Roberts (Florida A&M University) is passionate about creating a community where every member feels seen, supported, and confident throughout their optometry journey.

🖤 Vice President: Madison Williams (Prairie View A&M University) is dedicated to building meaningful connections and fostering a welcoming environment where every member can thrive.

🖤 Secretary: Makayla Hines (North Carolina State University) looks forward to keeping members engaged, informed, and connected while helping everyone make the most of their pre-optometry experience.

To every past officer and leader—thank you for never missing a 13th and laying the foundation that has brought @beppoc to this milestone. Your leadership has made six years of impact possible, and we can’t wait to see what this new team accomplishes.

🎶 Spring Intermezzo from Betty Jackson King’s 4 Seasonal Sketches;
another recital down! I had the pleasure of performing a piece by another black female composer for the second semester in a row! how amazing it is to pay homage to these musicians who even some of my music professors hadn’t heard before & to perform such in front of my peers, friends, and family! <3
