Today I officially received my Doctor bag and have almost finished my first year in Chiropractic school, and I’m so abundantly grateful for this journey.
When I toured Parker two years ago, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. This program has challenged me in so many ways that I both didn’t expect and didn’t know I needed.
Of course the academic rigor was something to adjust to, but more importantly, I started to actually learn what balance looked like. I learned to embrace joy, while simultaneously working harder and adapting to my coursework.
I also found friendship- real, authentic, loving and encouraging people who wanted not only to see me succeed, but also be a part of the everyday. The friend group I prayed for I can now say that I have, and they’ve been the biggest blessing. Every late night study session, two-step outing, and birthday party have brought me so much joy. But even more endearing to my heart was how these girls showed up for me when I was struggling with personal matters.
I thought I would come to Parker to launch into my career, but after only a year, it’s become so much more than that. I found community, coursework I love, and felt parts of myself come back to life again.
All of that being said, I am so grateful for this experience, for how my family has championed and supported me through it, and to my Heavenly Father, for guiding every step.

“The heart of a man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps” Proverbs 16:9
