MEET THE SONGFEST TEAM SERIES! ❣️

Today, meet our amazing Acts Chair, Sydney Newcomer!

Name: Sydney Newcomer
Major & Year: Special Education, 2027
Position: Acts Chair

Describe your role: “I get to be the point person for all 32 participating organizations in Songfest! As Acts Chair, I am their main point of contact, get to be their biggest cheerleader, and see all of their hard work pay off! The dedication the participants put in is unmatched; from the beginning of the process at tryouts to the end of the shows. It is such a blessing to bring together all parts of campus for one purpose!”

Go-To Hype Song: “Hall of Fame by The Script”

Most Excited For: “I am most excited for the Saturday night show when the Acts get to perform their very last show as a group! It is the coolest thing seeing two organizations become so united over something that serves a higher purpose. Overhearing their encouragement to each other in their group huddles just makes my job so worth it!!!”
