Sooo many flowers this month!

(February 2026): February was full of gratitude and exhaustion. Such a hard month. Forever grateful for and so much love to everyone who supported me endlessly despite my obvious shortcomings and hardships.

I've thought a lot this month about how I'm nowhere close to who I want to be. I want so badly to quickly develop into that person, but I shut myself down, thinking "it's gonna take a lifetime to make proper change, and I'm just gonna have to deal with personal inadequacy for decades before I make any real development."

So untrue, as I remember how much I changed in the 4 years of high school, and how much I can grow in my few years of college, and every small and large grouping of years after. And maybe "change" isn't even the right word, because I still deeply believe I'm the same person, but I was able to grow into myself. I find that powerful.

Anyways, personal growth, of course, is a lifelong pursuit, and that's the joy and beauty of it: always having the capacity to improve, and never settling for lack thereof. BUT it's also just as important to remember how much you can do in a short amount of time-- how much you can feel and think in a single day, how much you can change someone else's negativity in a single moment, how much you can grow into someone you admire in a few couple years, all because you're growing more into someone you admire every single day.

Progress is not linear, and I'm definitely feeling some setbacks this month, but I'm glad that I get to look back on who I was 5 years ago and see how immensely I had grown to become me 1 year ago. And even 1 year ago to now, more strength and pride.

I continue to hope and strive for more clarity, strength, perseverance, and compassion.
