It feels surreal to see my work featured in @haitiantimes . Link to the full article in my bio 🫶🏾.

As a Haitian-American designer, educator, and researcher, this project is about more than fashion. The Remembering explores Haiti’s agricultural legacy, ancestral knowledge, handwork, and the stories woven into every garment we create. It is a love letter to my family, my ancestors, and to the makers whose labor has always deserved to be seen.

Thank you to @lesocialnomad for taking the time to tell this story with such care. Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey, from my family and collaborators to my students, colleagues, and community. Your belief in this work means more than I can express.

Thank you to Parsons School of Fashion Dean Dr. @bendrakbarry and MPS FM Director @danieldrakbarry for your kind words and support 🩷.

This is only the beginning. There is still so much more to tell about Haiti, craftsmanship, sustainability, and the power of fashion as cultural memory. And so much for of this purpose work.

Had the best time at @MaisonValentino’s L’Atelier Sonore, an immersive audio sanctuary at the intersection of architecture and sound with a Vinyl listening experience curated by Terraforma. Made some sweet new friends and got to see my fave @laraaji_official ✨ #ValentinoLAtelierSonore
