It was fun while it lasted.

Dear football,
This game has been a huge part of my life, and I’ve put my blood, sweat, and tears into this game. Through all the highs and lows, football has taught me lessons that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. Every time I stepped out on that field, I felt like I was truly myself, and there was nowhere else I’d rather be. Along the way, I’ve been blessed to meet amazing coaches and teammates who have become more than just people I play football with. As I look back on my football career, I’m grateful for every memory, every lesson, and every person who has been part of this journey because football will always mean more to me than just a game.

It’s going to be weird for the rest of my life not being on the sidelines with my boys and coaches. To my teammates, I hope I was a good role model and a great teammate, because being someone you could look up to has always meant a lot to me. If anyone on this team ever needs help with anything, you know I’m always here for you. I love everyone who has been a part of this journey, and I’ll forever be grateful for the memories, lessons, and friendships football has given me. This game has meant everything to me, and I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything. With that being said, I love you all, and 2 out. ❤️

Some people come into your life and become so much more than you ever expected, and Syenna is one of those people! ❤️🥹 We are SO blessed to have her in our lives! She is truly one of a kind, with the biggest heart and a personality that makes her so special! 🫶🏼

Not only is she Jaidyn’s bestie, but she has become one of the boys’ best friends, too! 🩷 She fits right in with our crazy crew, and we couldn’t imagine life without her!

Hi! My name is Syenna! I’m 99% committed to SDSU and I’m from Dell Rapids, South Dakota. I plan to major in Elementary Education and I’m so excited to start this next chapter! I love getting fun drinks, going to concerts, shopping, and spending time with my friends. I’m always down to go out, try new things, and make fun memories, but I also love a good night in watching movies or just hanging out! l’m always up for a random adventure. I’m currently looking for 1 roommate and, of course, hoping to meet lots of new friends before starting at SDSU! I’d love to find someone who is also looking to have fun, make memories, and experience college together.

Thank you, high school softball…

This past year definitely didn’t go as expected, but it taught me to love this sport in a whole new way. While I would have given anything to be out on the field, this experience showed me that softball is so much more than just playing the game.

Thank you to all of my teammates, coaches, friends, and family who were there for me through it all. Your support, encouragement, and constant reminders to stay positive meant more than I can put into words. On the days when this injury felt overwhelming, you helped me find the bright side and reminded me why I love this sport so much.

Although this season looked different than I imagined, I’m grateful for everything it taught me and for the people who stood by me every step of the way. Thank you for helping me get through one of the toughest seasons of my life. I’ll always be thankful for the memories, lessons, and relationships that high school softball gave me. 🥎💗
