Dash is a happy-go-lucky girl, but very aware that not everything is quite jolly. Don't be fooled by her apparent unbothered detachment.

🎬 CLASH OF BLADES

⭐ Star Wars Animated Fan Film

I find myself treading on eggshells these days posting AI content... so I deliberately went hunting for old skool hand drawn animation hoping to find something with genuine hand craft and this pulsating beauty from Sykosan popped up! A very pleasant surprise to discover.

This fantastic anime short captures the hazy dreamlike quality of 80s (2000s?) Japanese animation through those beautiful colour gradient combinations and electric sparkles, and unlike most of the AI Star Wars content, the lightsabers properly contact with CLASH and FIZZ 💥

It's a personal thing, but I love artists who blend technologies. It shows an openness to exapnding your work with whatever tools are available rather than fearing what is out there. Here Sykosan has combined lush hand drawn 2D animation with cinematic 3D Blender work from collaborator Renato3XL, composited in Adobe After Effects.

I'll be honest, Anime would never normally be my first port of call for fan films, but this is really watchable and another fantastic facet of the rich fan film universe. Much applause. 🙌
