Huge, Huge, Thank You to everyone who came out to ride today! Special shout out to all the Queens in the building (or outside I should say) When @cassady_sakura and I decided to plan this, we were expecting maybe 10-15 people to show up, and were super stoked to see all the RSVPs and even more the people who showed up! You all are Amazing. The power of community is amazing, I’m proud to be a part of this community, we rock! Todays ride was great! Special thanks to @cassady_sakura for the bomb sandwiches 😎
And surprise OT member @nikecantcheckme & founder @krtcycling @curran_j and all the clubs that joined us:

This year taught me a lot about people. I think when you’ve been doing something for a looong time it’s easy to forget what it was like when you started. Earlier this year I stopped riding for a min, after being heckled at for not being able to complete a climb, then left on PCH for not being able to maintain 17 mph, then left in the dark, and left on a mountain with no service in an unfamiliar place, I was convinced I totally suck and cyclists are Dicks (I’m using my actual lingo, please bare with me). Fast forward some months and 4,000 miles later, I have found a lot of great people who are more than happy to have me along, wait for me on a climb, teach me, encourage me, laugh with me, suffer with me 😂. I can see the growth, and how important it is to have people that water you with knowledge and encouragement. There are way to many people to thank, but you know who you are and I appreciate your patience, your friendship, and your support on this journey 🙏🏾
If you are new to cycling, be patient with yourself, Rome wasn’t built in a day, just keep pedaling, and don’t be afraid of pain, that’s where true growth occurs.
To infinity and beyooond 🚀
