'What do you mean am I drawing my children again...'

Both my children remain a constant source of inspiration to me. Even now, when they have long since flown the proverbial nest and are living creative lives of their own, I still find myself drawn to observing them, sketching them, photographing them.

There is something deeply intimate and meditative about drawing my children. It gives me the time to really look at them, to notice the small gestures, expressions and connect with those moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed

I feel incredibly fortunate that they are both happy for me to photograph and sketch them, and to allow those private observations to find their way into my work

Perhaps, in some way, it is also a way of holding on to them as they continue to grow and move through their own lives - once a mum always a mum

Happy 15th Birthday to our gorgeous little grey labradoodle Bobby!

Words cannot express the love felt by me and throughout my family and friends for this adorable loyal pooch

We have had him from a tiny scruff ball of an 8 week old puppy to his present day distinguished grey of maturity, he entertains and makes us laugh every day

With arthritis, poor hearing and eyesight along with a certain amount of doggy dimentia, he always rallies for a walk and a swim at the beach

'Get a dog they said!' He is our first and will be our only dog - nothing could possibly top Bobby!

Happy birthday darling boy 🐶

A portrait very dear to my heart 'Quietly becoming' has been selected for the Shortlist and will be exhibiting as part of the Women in Art Prize 2026, in the Illustration Drawing category

I am so grateful to the Women in Art Prize for this recognition, but also for supporting women artists and creating a platform dedicated to celebrating their work. It is such an honour to be acknowledged among this year's selected artists

Many thanks to The Women in Art Prize and the judges

Congratulations to all exhibiting artists - I cannot wait to meet you and see your incredible work

wtf is a casual birthday, I’m a Leo.

But three weeks of celebrations is officially milking it. FestivElle comes to a close, 30 of my absolute besties, murder mystery, rounders, painting, card games, hangover yoga, bbqs, raves, 5am campfire chats, sauna, wild swimming and a chilli plant.

A big shout out to my two muses I used here who both achieving a First Class Honours Degree, @sylvansynthesis in Creative Writing and @avalon.tattoo in Fine Art, all while working alongside their studies

To say I’m super proud of you both doesn’t even come close. Watching you work so hard, staying focused and following your creative passions has been an absolute joy

I know it's not always been easy, you’ve both shown such determination, talent and resilience, and I couldn’t be more proud of you both

'Held' ♥️♥️
