POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The @catscat_gathering was filled with amazingly kind people, wonderful workshops, wholesome food, and plenty of great laughs – all rooted in the peace of this powerful land. Carrying many great memories and looking forward to next year.

Thank you to the collective team of people who made the vision of this gathering a reality.

What if your next school field trip looked like this? Second through fourth graders came to Eden to learn about wool. They left having lived the entire story, grazing, compost and soil health, shearing, processing, and yarn. Real, hands-on learning, taught by the land itself. Your school could be next. Send us a message and we can curate a day on the farm for your students.

Farming & earth building on the ranch as of late 💫

We try to collect, process, save and propagate as much seeds as we can of all the cacti, agaves, and native plants growing on the ranch 🌱

We also predominantly utilize local materials when earth building 🛖

Slowly but surely we are cultivating a communal space to teach and share! Let me know if you wanna help out 🙌🏽✨

A special day for a sheep outfit… shearing spring fleeces, talking story around the skirting table, sharing knowledge and experience from those who have it with those thirsty to learn by doing, and getting through a long day together laughing about how it always seems to rain whenever we shear or plan to shear.

No need to pray for rain… just schedule a shearing day. We’ll get plenty of it, and we won’t complain… much!

Thank you to all the helping hands!

Thank you to @noeplease, the shepherd shearer; @padawan_shepherd, the shep ranch wrangler; @symbioticform, the sharpest fiber arts multi-tool of a woman who can do pretty much anything and everything fiber-related while staying cool and casual; and all the other sweet folks from the community who came out (@sonyavallen, Rachel, Paul, India) including alum shepherd @corbs_orbs.

The ladies now have their sweaters off for summer
