Deep crew playing at Tech Noir in the basement of the Co-Prosperity Sphere in Bridgeport this coming Friday. If you, like me, love the scene in The Terminator where the Terminator chases Sarah Connor through a cyber-punk club, you will want to make it out for this.

GUEST ARTIST RUNDOWN GUEST ARTIST RUNDOWN GUEST ARTIST RUNDOWN FOR NIGHT BEAMS 12

Synth Loaf grace the Night Beams stage this coming Saturday!! Synth Loaf is a semi-improvised synthesizer loop project from Schiller Park, IL duo Joanna and Johnny Ludwig (J+J+J, Surf Dude With Attitude ). Synth Loaf draws influences for “Loaf Loops” from NBC’s Alf, Jim Steinman and MeatLoaf, and numerous visits to Alex Jordan’s House on the Rock.

Tarek Sabbar co-features this coming Saturday night at Illuminated Brew Works. Tarek Sabbar is a Moroccan-American audio/visual artist born in Kenosha, WI. His body of audio works covers of range of approaches—looping analog tape, techno constructed through modular synthesis, live-coding generative ambience, or granular resynthesis of recorded acoustic instruments. Though disparate in his process over the years, the through-line is a careful construction of detailed textures—a “loud softness” that can be both confrontational but also demanding of a closer listen.

As always, this event is free! Come through!!
