Czech in a comment ⬇️ I’m closing another chapter of my life: two years in New York.
I came here to experience the city and find new impulses for my creative work — and that’s exactly what happened. Shortly after arriving, I started dancing blues and was quickly swept up in the whirlwind of New York’s nightlife. At the time, my son was just two years old, and those dance-filled evenings gave me a chance to step out of the constant cycle of caring for a small child. Every parent knows how intense that can be. Through blues, I discovered fusion dancing — and that’s where I met Arielle and Brendan from @thepearlingprinciple @the.arielle.filter Incredible dancers who deeply shaped my understanding of dance and the freedom of expression. They taught me how to fully express myself through movement. I couldn’t not paint what I was experiencing.
Since 2023, I’ve been working on a series of drawings and paintings I named The Sensual Collection.
Dance opened up my sensory perception — it gave me space to relax and to dive into a world where I can switch off my mind and let my body speak. Today, these paintings and projections have become part of the immersive installation The Floating Mosaic, created in collaboration with The Pearling Principle and other amazing artists (@findmidnight , @syphus ) as part of the Chashama Art Party @chashama , which features a wide range of immersive experiences. Our installation invites everyone to dance. We dance ourselves and welcome visitors to dive into this dreamy world of movement with us.
There are also creative tables with art materials where anyone can stop by and create — drawing dance, emotions, or anything else. Because drawing is a form of deep relaxation, too. We’ve already had our first party — and the tables were full almost the entire time. I’m overjoyed that so much new art was created under my paintings.
Because shared creation — whether it’s drawing, dancing, or moving — is exactly what brings joy into our lives. Thank you — and I’m looking forward to seeing you this Thursday, June 26th, at the Gala Party! ✨ First photo: 📸@design_de_luca
