In the field, our MSIII class planned and executed a platoon defense STX lane, while our MSI and MSII cadets focused on small-unit tactics, learning how to conduct squad assaults.

Beyond local training, we had the privilege of sending a team of eight cadets to the Army Ten-Miler in Washington, D.C., where they took 1st place among all ROTC programs in the 2nd “Freedom” Brigade!

Finally, we recognized our September Cadets of the Month for their outstanding performance and leadership:

• MSI: Cadet Long
• MSII: Cadet Bryant
• MSIII: Cadet Stafford

The Stalwart Battalion continues to exceed the standard every day.

LLAB 05 🇺🇸

During LLAB 05, cadets received instruction on reveille, retreat, and proper flag-folding procedures before putting their skills into practice through transit training. Cadets also participated in a lesson on giving and receiving feedback, further developing essential communication and leadership skills.

Our BCL cadets stepped into leadership roles, taking charge of flights and gaining valuable experience leading their peers, while our newer cadets continued to sharpen their foundational skills and military bearing.

ICL cadets were evaluated on their leadership styles through simulated scenarios designed to strengthen their ability to assess situations, provide support, and lead with empathy and professionalism.

We wrapped up the lab with a Warrior Knowledge quiz, testing cadets on the information and standards that form the foundation of the cadet experience.

Another week of learning, leading, and developing. Hang in there Flyin Orange!

No two organizations are alike, and neither are our training programs!

The Academy for Organizational Excellence at the College of Professional Studies partners with organizations to design customized leadership and professional development programs that align with their goals, culture, and workforce needs.

The Fort Drum Leadership Development Program is just one example of how customized learning can help organizations build stronger teams.

Facilitated by Susan Conklin, the custom programs are highly interactive and offer tools, techniques, and frameworks that employees can immediately use on the job.

Proud to Support the Orange 🍊🫡

The 174th Attack Wing joined Syracuse University for its Military Appreciation Game, connecting with fans outside the JMA Wireless Dome and giving the community a closer look at what we do.

Our MQ-9 Reaper model, replica Hellfire missile and gear were a big hit, especially with some of our youngest visitors. Seeing their excitement and answering their questions is exactly why we love getting out into our community.

Thank you to Syracuse University for having us and for continuing to support the military community that proudly supports the Orange. We’ll see you next year!

Go Orange! 🍊

🇺🇸A weekend of Service, Remembrance & Community

The Syracuse University Student Veteran Organization had a meaningful weekend honoring service, building community and supporting those who serve.

On Friday, the SVO participated in the 9/11 Climb, raising funds for the Fallen Firefighters Foundation while honoring the lives and sacrifices made on September 11,2001. During this event we also tabled at the Syracuse University College of law were we connected with the Syracuse-area Military veterans supporting them with valuable resources, services and organizations.

On Saturday we hosted our stars and stripes tailgate before joining the Syracuse community cheering on the Orange against Cal.

Proud to honor those who served, support our communities and continue building connections through service and camaraderie

No flyover needed—we brought the Air National Guard to the stands! 🇺🇸🏈🍊The 174th Attack Wing was proud to celebrate the Military Appreciation Game with Syracuse football.

Yesterday, the 174th Recruiting Team and service members from the 174th Attack Wing attended Syracuse University’s Military Appreciation Football Game.

Before the game started, service members set up a tent and interacted with fans from both the home and away teams. They spoke about the benefits the Air National Guard offers and how it can benefit anyone looking to join.

Thank you to our partners at Syracuse University and the Syracuse Office of Veteran and Military Affairs for allowing us to attend this incredible event!

Yesterday, cadets from both Air Force and Army ROTC came together to honor the fallen by participating in the 9/11 Stair Climb at the JMA Wireless Dome.

On the 25th anniversary of September 11, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and service of the first responders who answered the call that day. Their legacy continues to inspire us as future leaders and reminds us of the importance of serving something greater than ourselves.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s stair climb and helped us honor the memory of those affected by 9/11.

Never Forget.
