I'm so glad this has been captured coz I'll come back to this anytime I'm sad...

Behind the sparkly surface of Instagram, there's so much doubt, loneliness, uncertainty, passion, rejection, risks, more rejection, mean people, disappointments, judgement, undervalue, fake friends, punished for speaking the truth, used..and you are ready to get through all of that just to get to do this thing called DANCE.

@udmsamba gave me a platform that allowed me to be myself 100% and literally go for whatever I felt to be the best to support the bateria. I always felt super appreciated and valued and when I got the chance to create a space where I would ve been a leader, I surely knew what I didn't want, and it's all the negative things I experienced in the past.

Throughout my class I had the chance to recruit more passistas for UDM and in the last couple of seasons the passista group started to shape up more, it bonded and we formed a little army of powerful women, passistas and queens to join us on our adventures.

I know this might sound super lame but I do care about people and making them feel good.
I feel like I'm the host and I have the responsibility to make sure you have fun at my house party 🥳, most of all,to create that famous safe space for all.

The thing is, the passistas came to my party yes but I was already in their home, taken care of, trusted, appreciated, loved and they really made me feel safe too.

I don't take these surprises lightly so THANK YOU SO MUCH for making me feel so special. This is the kind of validation I look for.
It gives me so much motivation and energy to continue my work and bring joy and kindness to the world.

With Love,
Miky

August 2026 - London is always about walking down memory lane while making new memories along the way. It’s about reconnecting with the city, reconnecting with places, reconnecting with old friends — and reconnecting with a part of me that feels most alive when I’m there. London is Home ♥️ and always will be.
