Our week in Hoover has come to an end, and what a week it was.

These boys battled their way to a Top 16 finish after playing an incredible 13 games in 9 days, coming straight off our tournament in West Palm Beach. They are tired, sore, and running on determination, but I couldn’t be more proud of the way they continue to compete and represent themselves.

Hoover was special for another reason, too. Baseball has taken us all over the country, and Townsend doesn’t often get the chance to have much family in the stands. This week, they showed up. Having family there to cheer him on, celebrate the highs, and support him through every game made this tournament one we’ll never forget.

One more week to go before we wrap up our summer baseball tour.

Next stop: Cary, North Carolina. ⚾️❤️

Can’t believe my time playing baseball with the guys I grew up with has come to an end. I’m grateful for every moment this season and all the years before it. I’ll never forget the older guys who took me under their wing and helped shape me. Thank you to Gardendale baseball for giving me more than I could’ve ever asked for. I wish it ended differently, but not every story is perfect. With that being said, it’s time for the next chapter. 26 out.
