The past few weeks have reminded us of the strength found in community.

In this second half of the year, AWEAA Lagos Chapter invites our AWEsome Sisters to come together to reconnect, encourage one another, share laughs, and be reminded that as Women Entrepreneurs, we do not walk alone.

For those who have asked about joining the community, this is the perfect opportunity to network with some of our Entrepreneurs within AWEAA, know more about the Association, and experience sisterhood in action.

Yes, Non-AWEAA members are warmly welcome.

📅Saturday, 25th July 2026

On behalf of our AWEsome women, the Excos had a courtesy visit to the U.S. Consulate in Lagos.

The Public Diplomacy team welcomed us with so much warmth, and we had real, inspiring conversations about supporting our women entrepreneurs and creating more impact together.

It was a beautiful reminder that our partnership is strong and our mission matters.
AWEsome Women, stay tuned — this visit is birthing more opportunities for us.
We’re just getting started. Let’s keep growing together!

An evening of music, diplomacy, and meaningful connection. 🇳🇬🇺🇸

I had the pleasure of attending a reception at the U.S. Consulate residence in Lagos, hosted by Consul General Rick Swart in honor of Redhot & Blue, Yale University’s oldest collegiate co-ed a cappella group.

The evening was a masterclass in cultural exchange, beginning with remarks from the Consul General followed by soul-stirring performances by Redhot & Blue, the legendary Yinka Davies, and other brilliant artists.

Key Highlights of the Night:

Reconnecting: It was wonderful catching up with friends at the U.S. Consulate, with whom we’ve maintained a cordial relationship for years.

The Alumni Network: A great opportunity to reconnect with fellow Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF) alumni, current alumni leadership, and leaders within the U.S. Government Exchange Alumni Association (USGEAA).

Small World Moments: I enjoyed chatting with the members of Redhot & Blue about my recent visit to Silicon Valley and Rutgers University. It was a fun highlight when one group member shared that her brother is also a Rutgers alum!

Events like these remind us of the power of art and dialogue in strengthening international friendships. Grateful for the music, the networking, and the continued spirit of collaboration.

We hope this brings smiles to your faces as much as it did ours.
The goal was simple- To honour some of our Female Street Sanitation Workers across Lagos, Ogun, Oyo States and Abuja. The plan was to make each stop a memorable experience for the women.

At some locations, we show them basic exercise routines that they could carry out as they worked.
At others, we had sessions where the women shared their sweeping experiences and how people and God showed up for them at their lowest.
At yet some other locations, we had health checks and screened for breast cancer.
Across all locations, one thing remained constant - The joy, the energy and the gratitude from the women we had chosen to honour. We danced, sang and had a time of refreshing. 💃🤗🫂

Indeed, impact has a name.

We are so glad that in the Month where the world pauses to celebrate the International Women's Day, we impacted 200 female Street Sanitation Workers.

Thank you to EVERYONE who was a part of this project. 👏👏👏💐💐💐

Today, the spotlight is on our very amiable President @t.vtk and the work she does at @chownoodlebarng

Chow2Go Limited is a Nigerian food and hospitality company operating through two core brands: Chow Noodle Bar, a fast-casual restaurant chain serving freshly prepared Asian-inspired rice and noodle dishes across dine-in, takeaway, and delivery channels; and The Ultimate Sauce, its food manufacturing arm focused on producing premium bottled sauces and packaged products that extend the Chow flavour experience into homes and retail markets. In 2025, the company expanded Chow Noodle Bar into two new locations and officially launched The Ultimate Sauce, marking its strategic entry into large-scale food manufacturing.

Our President, Victoria Ajayi is an award-winning entrepreneur and the Chief Executive Officer of Chow2Go Limited, a growing food and hospitality company with interests in restaurant operations and food manufacturing. She is a recipient of the Leading Ladies in Food Fellowship by African Food Changemakers, recognizing her leadership and impact within the food industry.
Victoria currently serves as the President of the AWE Alumni Association, a White House initiative that supports alumnae-led initiatives and cultivates strategic partnerships to strengthen and expand a thriving community of women entrepreneurs.

We are proud to be associated with you, President.
