The Scandinavian Big Mountain Championship (@sbmcriksgransen) is the longest-running freeride competition in the world. Here, Freeride World Tour champions meet locals, ski bums, and fearless rookies — and everyone needs to deliver three runs over three days.

The foundation of the competition has always been to strengthen the sport through a philosophy where more experienced riders coach younger riders. Over time, the competition has also become one last reunion before summer starts.

People come here not only to compete, but to ski together and end the season together. The vibes are high and the camaraderie even higher.

Riksgränsen - such a precious place of happy, friendly, passionate people. Snow and comp was all time with so many happy rippers competing in the Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships - a unique multi day format where all results count and creating such a great atmosphere. Teo ended 9th overall - yes of course I’m a proud mom but most importantly so happy for both he and I (and Luka previously) to get to come back to Sweden and experience this amazing place , people and vibe. Thanks to my dear friend @robert.gustafsson who’s been organising the comp for 35 years - hats off Rob - it’s so unique. And thanks for us!
