Struggling with your devotion? Then I pray you find this really helpful.

Personally, these platforms have helped shape my devotion in a way I never imagined and I am praying it helps you also.

Journey Through the Epistles is also a podcast platform, so if you are a podcast person, this is a Bible study page you can listen to on the go.

If you are struggling with praying, @t30devotion would greatly help you. It would take things from 0-100. If you are consistent with each prayer time, you would end up praying for at least an hour or 30 minutes a day.

@youversion is a great Bible Study platform. I would say you check it out yourself to see how robust it is.

Share this to your story and also to someone you know who needs it. They would be eternally grateful.

The year was 2017, and the time was around New Year's.

I can't remember what I'd had to suffer, I just remember the pain. I was hurting, and so while other people made new year's resolutions with significant goals, I said to myself,

"This year, I'm going to sleep around. I don't even want to be in a relationship. I'll be wild, and that's it."

Being a conservative person, I didn't know how I was going to go about achieving this goal, but I had confessed it.

For context, I've always been a church girl. I'm from a lineage of people who have served Abba, so even when I did wrong, I had God in mind.

But this time around, I had decided that I would go all out on being unwise. But Abba saw me.

That same 2017 was the year He came for me.

I can't remember what was preached in church that day, but it hit me, and for what seemed like the 100th time, I went out to give my life to Christ.

When Monday came, I visited a family friend. This visit lingered, so I had to sleep over.

Let's just say we would have called it rape if I didn't say something like, "Don't rape me, I'll stop struggling."

When I finally left the next day, I couldn't go back to mine. I went to my brother's house instead.

He was watching a preaching by Joel Osteen (this was unusual). I sat in front of his TV and blocked my face while crying premium tears.

I remember Joel Osteen doing an altar call and me just whispering for Abba to hug me.

He came.

The point is, you probably have a new year's resolution. Or not.

And maybe like me, your new year's resolution is inspired by a negative thing you've had to experience. Whatever shade of shege it is, El-Roi sees.

Don't make life altering decisions because of momentary situations. God has not changed His mind concerning you.

Meanwhile, one of the recurring questions I had in 2022 was about communities that you can pray and fellowship with.

I've curated some of the ones I know and I'm a part of. They've been of such great help to me and so many others, and I believe you'll have a better year belonging to a family that covers you.

Join them, don't be a stranger, say hello, make new friends, grow.

💛
