The year I couldn't decide whether or not I wanted bangs

Yes I brought my @sonyalpha a7ii with me to the top of half dome, and by “I” I mean my friend Thornton carried it most of the time so I could reach into his bag and get it and because I have a bad back.

Still can’t believe I climbed up half dome, it felt so long ago but it was still this year. Im also surprised I was able to do it given my back.

Mini story time, back in 2021 I was in a car accident that resulted in a 6mm bulging disc in my L5. Since then hiking, backpacking, biking, etc etc has been minimally annoying and maximumly painful. I was worried about this trip bc it’d be my second time backpacking and having a heavy bag worried me if I could carry it all. Turns out as long as I have some good hiking poles I can manage.

I would be posting more pictures of the bus in these spots but I had to walk to see these views…

What true bliss it was to walk through the woods here, that’s honestly all I’m trying to do is walk through different woods.

He did in fact know a spot…

Having a quick breakfast and coffee before our hike in the high country and we had to eat it at a scenic spot in the valley. So peaceful just to sit and enjoy the giant walls of rock surrounding us

Obligatory earth day post 🌍 #earthday #earthday2025

All of the places I’ve been so grateful of doing either with the bus or not. We gotta make sure these areas are kept nice for generations to come I don’t want to be the last person to see this level of purity and serenity. Pics taken in Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, and Nevada ‼️
