@suzu.cincy , a new & contemporary Japanese restaurant officially opens on October 13th. Led by well known @chefmakoto , Suzu will be serving the freshest sushi and sashimi, noodle dishes, seasonal dishes and private label sakes. We got a sneak peek during their media night & were able to experience chef cutting bluefin tuna, a live shodo demo, bites of nigiri, hand apps and delicious drinks. They will be opening up in Madisonville and reservations are going quick!! I cannot wait to come back & bring my family so they, too can experience this beautiful restaurant. With restaurants located in other parts of the world, we are truly so lucky we get to have our own location here in Cincinnati! 🍶Suzu 🗺️ 5392 Medpace Way

A new date night spot is now ✨open✨in @downtowncincy . @barrossocincy , a new concept from @crownrestaurantgroup , is a gorgeous spot serving up just steak, fries and drinks. A simple idea but so elevated!! We started our meal with their truffle popcorn, sourdough focaccia with housemade garlic herb butter. They also come around with their special table salt that goes on (literally) everything. Their chrysanthemum greens salad was so refreshing and with lots of cheese and fresh black pepper- so addicting!!! I probably could have had three plates, easily of just that salad. The main course, steak & frites. Super soft prime tenderloin that was cooked to perfection. Served with thick but crispy fries that were maybe top 5 fries we’ve had in Cincy. It comes with a bearnaise sauce that was a lil sweet, a lil spicy. For dessert, they came around with chocolate mousse that they dress at the table with olive oil and again! That flakey sea salt. Last night was a soft opening of Concorde, a brand new European-inspired restaurant & bar located in Madisonville. Created by Chef/Owner Kevin Armon, the menu features classic European cuisines with oysters, charcuteries, coq au vin, filet mignon and so much more paired with a huge wine, cocktail and beer list 🍷 We got to sample a little bit of what is to come at their grand opening which takes place on July 14th! They offered a beautiful board of premium meat & cheese 🧀 smoked tin fish, lamb burgers and rockefeller style oysters 🦪 it was such a fun evening to check out their new space with some live music 🎶 Be sure to check them out as they are now taking reservations! 🥖 Concorde 🗺️ 4925 Whetsel Avenue

@pho.lang.thang , a longtime favorite of the city, debuted their new bakery section this weekend. Everything you see & smell walking in is made in-house and blend together traditional Vietnamese desserts with modern pastries and techniques. As a Vietnamese-American myself 👀 everything I ate was on point flavor and texture wise. There’s a wide variety from your classic butter croissants 🥐 and soft swiss rolls to more Viet favorite desserts like honey comb & cassava cakes. All I found were perfectly paired with a strong glass of Viet iced coffee ☕️ Some of my top eats were the Banh Pate So, a flakey pastry with pork, (yes, pork!) so nostalgic and satisfying. Their cassava cake was also a hit for me: chewy, fragrant and not overly sweet. And lastly their Pho Spiced Kouign Amann, something I would reach for regularly at a bakery but taken to the next level!! 🤪😮‍💨 They open everyday at 11am until sellout. Date night at @colettecincy ! We’ve been hearing our friends, families, and coworkers talk about this place and we finally got to try it out. Located right across from @washingtonparkotr , Colette offers “mostly French” cuisine and a super cozy and ambient space by Chef @dannycombs . I love their open kitchen and spacious bar area. The decor was so adorable and made everything super intimate. Everything from our appetizers to our entrées was beautifully plated! I just wish we had more room for dessert!! Covington has a new bakery/ice cream shop opening up this Monday and it’s neighboring a familiar spot: @bodega.roebling . Starting next week, this spot will be offering fresh baked goods such as cheesecakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies, croissants, even ice creams and candy! 🍪🍰🥐 The best part is all these pastries can be topped with your choice of house made chocolate, white chocolate, or matcha drizzle and sprinkled with crumbles, coconuts, chips and so much more. 🤗🥰 I got the red velvet cookie ❤️, their matcha dipped croissant w/ white chocolate & toasted coconut 🥥 as well as their cinnamon roll woth chocolate drizzle 🍫 It was tasty with their fresh coffees made at the bodega only a few steps away!! I had a quick solo lunch before my shift at the delicious @onolicious_hi located right off of @courtstreetcincy plaza. I love hitting up the spot whether I just need a quick snack or a full meal. They always have some nice rotating specials going on or you can rely on their classic 🤙 Hawaiian plates to satisfy you. Of course, I had to grab their spam musubis!! I got the single order, but I could easily, easilyyyy eat like a dozen of these 🤣 for my main entrée, I got their Huli Huli Chicken Katsu: crispy katsu chicken tossed in their sweet Hawaiian BBQ sauce with a generous serving of rice and their Mac salad. Happy Grand Opening Week to @bissingers ! 🎉 Originally started in Paris 🇫🇷 in 1668, this confectionary has made its way back to Cincinnati & is located inside of @kenwoodtownecentre . @brewdcincy is the new kid on the block on @courtstreetcincy . I was so happy to find out we were getting a new coffee shopping that I could get to in seconds from my workplace. Not only is it a coffee spot, they are also a tap house offering all things local coffee, beers, food and teas. It’s a peaceful get-a-way spot from the bustle of downtown where you can just grab a book, kick back, and relax. My first time coming, I got their vanilla iced latte with their goetta breakfast burrito. I was pleasantly surprised by their portions!!! The burrito had eggs, potato and goetta all wrapped in cheese. The coffee was delicious and had me coming back to try their teas abd pastries. Had some amazing Thai food with family recently at Green Papaya. They have two locations, one in Hyde Park & one in Mariemont. They specialize in authentic fresh Thai food and sushi rolls- they have a huge menu with seafood dishes, curries, and noodle dishes. Not pictured, we also got some apps to share like their papaya salad, fried crab, popcorn chicken and all were amazing. I, of course, got their Thai iced tea! Yum! And got their generous portion of panang curry with grilled salmon. I’d 100% come back- the hospitality and service was super friendly :) 🇹🇭 Green Papaya 🗺️ 2942 Wasson Road
