Last week, we hosted the community for Tabla For Two: a musical duo consisting of Abigail Adams Greenway and Masood Omari. They play traditional and classical music from Afghanistan and beloved old Bollywood favorites from India. Tabla for Two also perform original music called “New Music for the New World,” composed by Masood, that blends classical Eastern beats with Western-style beats — a fusion of East and West that is mirrored in their own partnership.

We welcomed over 100 guests including many from the Afghan Community who celebrated their culture through the traditional music played.

This concert is the first of our Afghani Musical Series in collaboration with the @afghancommunityoferiepa and @erieartsculture. We received funding via their Beyers Grant and will be excited to announce what is to come!

Thank you to all who supported us that night, and those who continue to support the work we do. Independent art spaces require support in order to survive, so without you, we wouldn’t be here.
