LOWER BODY TRAINING FIVE EXERCISE CIRCUIT FOUR ROTATIONS Here’s a tough circuit for college level, skilled position athletes, who want to add some variety into their lower body training program. Multiple continuous exercises with limited rest. In addition to your other training, do this Five Exercise - Giant Set Circuit for six weeks, every fourth day, and watch your strength, balance, stamina, and explosive power increase and transfer onto the field. Note: this routine is best suited during the preseason, and should be modified as necessary to manage training load. Do you need to fine tune your training and want to progress faster? INDIVIDUAL PERIODIZATION Starting with a standard Team Periodization schedule can improve development but not to the extent needed for next level athletes. This is where Customizing Periodization comes into play for specific positional needs; adjusting for each athlete’s current level of development and fitness; incorporating better recovery timelines; and ultimately improving sports performance on a more consistent basis. DUMBBELL WORK Dumbbell training is highly versatile, building balanced strength, enhancing joint stability, and correcting muscle asymmetries. Because they allow for natural, multi-planar movements, dumbbells are excellent for full-body compound exercises that improve functional fitness and burn calories while minimizing joint strain.
