I get by with a lil help from my friends, pt. 1

If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I love my friends with my full chest.

The last two years have been a battle ground for my heart and the hands that have beared witness to me, held me, hugged me, grieved with me, and giggled endlessly with me have been the medicine that saved my life.

I am sitting in awe of the fruits of love that has poured into me, with tangible and spiritual supports, the many check-ins and expansive conversations along the way.

Not everyone who I am forever grateful for showing me what community love and safety feels like is pictured here. If you have been present with me during these two most transformative years of my life, you know exactly who you are. And I have many love letters of gratitudes to write to each of you. A task I am honored to lovingly hold. I wouldn’t have emerged as healed, as vibrant and as whole as I have today.

Your love, your unflinching sight, unwavering belief in me and your hugs have meant the world to me. I am so delighted and blessed to be in the same world as you.
