✨ One of Moseley’s hidden gems that deserves a spot on your must-visit list… 🤍✨

Whether you’re planning a relaxed brunch, a leisurely lunch or an evening dinner date, Tabule Kitchen has something for every occasion.

📍 Nestled in the heart of Moseley Village, this beautiful Lebanese and Moroccan restaurant transports you straight to the Middle East with its warm décor, cosy corners, traditional touches and relaxed atmosphere. The ambience is the perfect balance of elegant and welcoming, making it just as ideal for date nights as it is for catching up with friends or family. (Tabule Kitchen)

The menu is packed with flavour, from their famous Turkish eggs, shakshuka, halloumi, manakish, hummus, falafel and breakfast platters, through to incredible charcoal grills, mixed grills, lamb chops, shish taouk, salmon, fresh mezze, authentic Moroccan and Lebanese dishes, plus indulgent desserts and speciality coffees. There’s genuinely something for everyone, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. (Tabule Kitchen)

What made the experience even more memorable was the incredible team. The staff were so friendly, attentive and genuinely passionate about making sure every guest had a fantastic experience. Service like that really does make all the difference.

If you’re looking for somewhere full of authentic flavours, beautiful surroundings and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay just that little bit longer, I can’t recommend Tabule enough. Definitely one to add to your Birmingham food bucket list! 🤍✨

💌 | Tabule - Birmingham

Fully halal

Tabule brought all the comforting flavours you’d expect from a traditional Middle Eastern meal, with fresh salads, rich stews and perfectly seasoned grilled dishes.

We tried the following:

💚 Lamb bil ajeen
💚 Fattoush salad
💚 Spicy hummus
💚 Bamia bil Lahem
💚 Lemonade and mint
💚 Fresh orange juice
💚 Chicken shawarma

The standout for us was definitely the Bamia bil Lahem – a rich and hearty okra and lamb stew that tasted beautifully homemade. The chicken shawarma was packed with flavour, while the spicy hummus had just the right kick without being overpowering. We also loved how fresh and vibrant the fattoush salad was, balancing out the richer dishes perfectly.

To finish, the mint lemonade was incredibly refreshing and paired so well with the meal.

📍 Tabulé Kitchen, Birmingham

🥙 Tabulé Hot Mezze - Easily the standout dish. The hummus, falafel, spicy potatoes, fried cauliflower, salad and fresh bread were all excellent. The spicy potatoes and falafel were particularly impressive 🤤
🫓Arayes - A little on the dry side and could’ve done with more seasoning.

🌯 Shawarma Arabie - Unfortunately this wasn’t for us. The chicken lacked texture and came across a little soggy.

🍖 Lamb Kafta - Decent, but we were hoping for juicier kafta. The saffron/cumin flavour in the rice was slightly overpowering for our taste.

🍲 Chaouia Tagine - The chicken was tender, but the overall flavour felt a little one-dimensional compared to other tagines we’ve had.

🥤 Drinks - Taza Special & Ya Salam were refreshing and perfect for the warm weather.

The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and a great vibe throughout. While the Hot Mezze and drinks were the highlights for us, we felt some of the mains could have been stronger.

NEW LEBANESE-INSPIRED BRUNCH MENU 🍳 The Beiruti breakfast platter (£12) was a hit, offering a mix of popular Lebanese staples. Everything paired well with the freshly baked bread, and I loved the mini manakish too 😍 My Turkish eggs (£8) were beautifully cooked and well flavoured - I’d defo get this again 😋 The full English (£9), chicken omelette (£6.50) and original shawarma (£7) were all classic options you can’t go wrong with 🙌🏼 I’d recommend a pot of their karak chai too 🤤

✨ Editorial Design ✨ Filling a gap in my portfolio 👀

Having mostly taken on illustration projects through Pickle Illustration, I realised I needed to brush up on my layout skills, so in the gaps between client work, I did just that...

Combining my love of collage, food, writing and visiting independents in my local area. I created Eat Out In Moseley, a zine showcasing South Birmingham's thriving food scene through 6 of the best independent eateries.

I had a great time eating, writing, collaging and designing for this project and feel satisfied I still know my way around a paragraph in an InDesign document...
