circuit-bent color processing + analog glitch video modulations . 2026 .

Footage recaptured with a circuit-bent retro digital camera (made by @gork_online ) for color FX, then processed through glitch video hardware (made by @tachyonsplus ) for video distortions, and filmed off of a CRT television.

One more fabulous stain before I dip for a couple weeks.

I have a dj gig next weekend and I’m the *ahem* NAVIGATOR of a music video project that 22y/o me is freaking out about. More on that later.

Been tinkering with @tachyonsplus psychenizer box over the last couple of days and this thing rules. This video processor has so many different combos to mess with that one can get lost staring at a screen for hours. Happy to finally own one of his builds. Thank you @bauhaus4lyfe for the heads up!

Doing it 100% analog for @gunshipmusic’s new track “Tell Me When The World Stops Ending” from @johncarpenterofficial’s new game “Toxic Commando”

For the music video, I chained and layered custom circuit-bent glitch video processors made by @tachyonsplus and added some extra effects with arcade and joystick glitch video devices made by @lofi_future, all filmed off of retro CRT televisions in my studio.

“Euphoria Bliss” by Pure Motorised Instinct is Black Lodge ambient for the empty set. When legendary industrial outfit Nagamatzu went dormant in 1991, band member Stephen Jarvis moved forward with Pure Motorised Instinct and released two cassette albums which we reissued on vinyl for the first time.

'Euphoria Bliss' was the name of an artiste friend of JG
Ballard, who in 1970 was hired for a performance of his
'The side effects of orthonovin G', set to a jazz score at the ICA in London.
I liked that conjunction of words that she had chosen as her alter ego. She was a professional artiste who performed striptease whilst reading aloud scientific papers and the works of Ballard.
The music itself was heavily influenced by Angelo Badalamenti's score for the original series of David Lynch's 'Twin Peaks.
