I spent the first 17 years of my life living the dream. Surfing, skateboarding, fishing, traveling and most importantly, feeling and being pretty independent. At the time, I never knew how lucky I really was. Not because I got to play every sport. Not because I got sponsored and almost became a professional surfer. Not because I traveled all over the world. But because I could feel my body. I could walk. I could do anything I wanted and didn’t need to ask for help. Because I was healthy. And because I was free from bladder complications and pressure sores. I never even knew what being paralyzed meant. For the past 30 years I have had to deal with stuff that no human being should have to go through. Not being able to feel my body, or use the restroom by myself or not being able to walk and having to use a wheelchair just to get around. The life I knew for 17 years was over. Now for the past 30 years I have dedicated my life to giving back and helping others through the foundation that I started 25 years ago, Life Rolls On. I try my best to keep a positive attitude every single day. Do I? No. It’s a full time job just to be grateful and thankful for everything that I do still have. I would do pretty much anything to be able to walk and feel again. At this moment there is no cure for paralysis. But I promise you that I will do everything I can to enjoy my life and to be in the moment. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. Be appreciative of the life you have. Call your friends, call your family. Tell them you love them. Tell them you are there for them. A text or a call can go a long way. What may take 15 seconds for you, can last a lifetime for someone else. Just knowing that someone cares about you can create a beautiful ripple effect. Be the change and change the way you give back. You never know, one day you might be the one that needs the help. Thank you to anyone and everyone that has ever helped me do anything from opening the door for me, to taking me fishing or surfing or who has just said hi. It means everything to me. Happy 30th anniversary of my injury to myself. I’m proud of where I have taken this disabled guy, that guy is ME. Nothing but love and gratitude

Wedding weekend bonanza. First up was the boy aka Zano. And watching him tie the knot made me realize he isn’t a boy anymore and i’m so proud of the man he has become. watching @wet.marsupial and @margofaljyan tie the knot with @jakobnowell doing the honors. It really made me realize how lucky i am. Zane and Jake are like sons to me and they are best friends/brothers. Margs has been family since we all met on the beach 5 years ago. How rad to watch your kids grow up to be such great humans. Love you all. And then it was back on a plane to get home for wedding 2. The homie @brodyjenner tied the knot with @tiablanco and what an incredible couple. All the homies celebrating with them and the @commonkings bringing down the house with some songs. Very special weekend. Congrats all ❤️🤙♠️

We just launched a new drop of gear to support one of our brothers and his grom in a time of need. The SRH “Family Ties” drop has something for the entire family. Men’s, women’s, groms etc. Our brother @rustyh__k hit a gnarly run of accidents with the latest one snapping both achilles, crushing both ankles, and legs are toast. Russ is a single dad with a grom and hasn’t been able to move let alone work. He is on surgery number 3 and bills are stacking. So we put up this drop to make him some extra cash to help. We will give the 💵💵 to him to help in his time of need. And one of the OG’s set up a gofund me we will post in stories. Anything helps. Russ is SRH to the core. Rips at surfing and skating, Rides motto and is an all around ace. He is a good dude who would help anyone. In fact he will probably be pissed at us at first that we are asking for help for him as he is a prideful man. We respect that and even more of a reason to help such a solid dude. Brotherhood and family for us isn’t a marketing slogan. We practice what we preach so buy a shirt to help the homie or donate to gofund me if you can. If your broke we understand times are tough. Slide into his page and send him a postive note. And if you’re a single lady slide in with some digits if you are inclined. Ladies, our man is down but not out😂🤙♠️. Anyways much respect to the entire srh fam for always helping each other. We posted his gofund me and it was rad to see homies like @colin_scummy_morrison and @murphsrh who barely know or haven’t met Russ jump in and help out instantly. Thats what it’s all about people. Respect boys🤙♠️ SRH Family Ties run deep and strong since 1991💪♠️

To teach is great, to inspire is divine.
Greg not only taught and inspired, he listened, showed us to laugh at the small things and most importantly show us all how to be human and to be kind to one another. Thank you, greg! I love you, man. @gregsworld 🙌🙌🙌.
