Is your hospitality business hiring entry-level front-of-house staff? Send me a DM, and I will mail you one of these packages.

My only request: mention “TIPS Academy certification is an asset” in your front-of-house job advertisements.

Together, we can raise the standard of entry-level front-of-house service.

If more businesses begin expecting applicants to invest 16 hours in learning about our industry before applying for work, we will all benefit from better-prepared and more committed employees.

If two applicants have equally strong résumés, why wouldn’t you favour the person who chose to spend 16 hours learning about hospitality, job responsibilities, accountability, teamwork and service standards?

I will be reaching out to every hospitality business I see hiring. If, months from now, more than 50% of businesses are mentioning this certification in their job postings, it will give job seekers a strong incentive to take the course and improve their employment opportunities.

Widespread participation could also help me demonstrate to the government that our industry needs better-prepared entry-level staff—and seek its support in making this education more accessible.

If I see your job posting on Instagram, I will send a package to your business. If I miss it, please reach out.

Let’s raise the standard together.

Happy 7th birthday to @tackleboxcoffeebar ! 🎉🎂🥳

Made my way over this weekend to try their limited edition birthday cake latte and it was so good. Although this was just available for the weekend, I strongly recommended trying their tiramisu or salted honey latte as I have tried both before and loved them just as much! Perfectly sweet with high quality espresso, it is the perfect treat to make any day feel like your birthday!

Located in a beautiful wide open space shared with rustic reel brewing, it is seriously the perfect hangout spot, work spot, or just a place to grab a coffee and go!

Have you been to tackle box before? Let me know below! 🎉
