In honor of the @bbcdoctorwho season finale today, I wanted to share a couple of photos from when I got to go into a real life wheelchair accessible TARDIS. I saw the TARDIS at @concradle and wanted so badly to go inside but just assumed it wasn't accessible. When the maker of it flipped out a ramp just like in the show I almost cried. I think many of my disabled friends can relate. For once, I could experience my fandom just like everyone else. I wasn't an afterthought and my needs weren't "too complicated" like they are so often. Speaking to the maker of this TARDIS, I could see how much care went into adapting it and how happy he was to see it used. This is what we need more of. Disabled people belong everywhere, in every fandom, and in the TARDIS. If there's one thing the past couple of episodes have shown, it's that. I look forward to seeing this TARDIS again at @lidoctorwhocon in August!
