Thankful for this group of friends that are so committed to sharing, loving and giving back to their community. I never feel native enough to part of this group or to join in on indigenous events, but they accept me just how I am.

Happy Indigenous Peoples Day 🤎 we’re still here surviving and thriving.

Everyday is Indigenous Peoples’ Day🤎🪶

We had the amazing honor to host the 4th annual IPD PHX Fest Run and Walk with @cahokiaphx @ovah_hillcreations.official and @azcenterphx
It was such a beautiful experience of native pride and strength. I could not help but see how much we shine and bring so much joy to every space we fill. I know this is how our ancestors survived so much, because when we get together nothing stops the laughter, connection and shared love. It was so great to meet so many new runners and finally meet others in person. The running community is so special.
It’s was so great combine a group run with so many indigenous arts and crafts. As our runners picked up bibs and got ready to run we were surrounded by Apache crown dancers and Aztec dancers. It elevated our community movement to another level of indigenous resilience and power.
We had such an awesome event!! Thank you for supporting and participating!

Huge shout out to @tortoiseandharesquad and @altrarunning for supporting, providing and volunteering. We had the coolest bibs, shirts, medals, awards and (soon) photos with their help! Thank you @moccasinrunning for your yearly help! And @native_women_run for sharing our event. And the biggest thank you to my sole sisters and family. We can’t do this without them. Love you!!

The last game was in Marana, close enough to Tucson that more family got to see Cam do what he loves. We didn’t get the win but we keep seeing Cam show up and show out every time. So proud!

Medal Monday🏅
We joined Tate on his campus to run the family weekend 5k. It was so fun to hang out with Tate and run as a family. Tate, Cam and I ran the 5k and Ashton ran the kids 1 miler. Proud of us!
Tate is well into his 3rd year of chemical engineering at U of A. He was glad to have a family break from studying. Our family was complete for the day, glad we made it for family weekend.

Still adventuring with my best friend🩵
Bear Lake and Minnetonka Cave on a Sunday afternoon, the best dates involve water and a trail.

Tate is off to his Junior year at U of A!! It’s always hard to let him go. He will be missed. I’m so glad he’s close enough to come home once in a while. But we know he is off doing amazingly hard things. Have a great year Tate!
