We got in the water!!

BFR had such a great experience with @swimblk at their Beginner Swim Intensive!

We started with stretching and getting comfortable in the water before working through breathing and submersion drills, floating, treading water, freestyle, and so much more.

What really made the experience was the patience of the instructors. They took their time with us, met everyone where they were, and created an environment where we could learn without feeling rushed or pressured.

It was a small, intimate group, which made it even better. We were able to ask questions, practice, laugh, encourage each other, and just get comfortable being in the water.

And listen… I left there actually swimming freestyle! The difference in how comfortable I feel in the water after just one session is wild.

A huge thank you to @swimblk for creating this experience and sharing your knowledge with us. And thank you to my BFR fam for showing up, trying something new, and getting in the water with me.

This is what it’s about, creating opportunities to experience things we may not have had access to, learn new skills, and do it surrounded by community.

Definitely looking forward to more experiences like this.

Grateful for community that shows up with openness, honesty, and care.

We talked. We laughed. We created.
We named goals that feel real, attainable, and aligned. And we did it together, in community.

Black joy.
Black care.

Today we hiked together. Some parts were challenging. All of it was supported. We showed up, encouraged each other, and took up space in spaces that we belong in!!

Thank you to everyone who came out. The support and encouragement that I witnessed today was unmatched. Looking forward to our next hike!

This is how I make my smoothies.
Simple ingredients, nothing fancy, and easy to repeat.

I focus on what fuels me, not trends or extremes.
Consistency always beats complicated.

Hip thrusts are one of the most effective movements for building strong, powerful glutes.
They support performance, protect your joints, and help you move better, inside and outside the gym.

Heavy. Intentional. Controlled. This is how you grow.
