🏌️‍♂️ PRO TIP: How to Hit a “Fairway Finder”

When you need to put the ball in play, forget about trying to smash it. Your goal is “control and consistency”.

Here are a few simple adjustments I like to make:

1️⃣ Tee it slightly lower

A lower tee height encourages a slightly lower launch and helps take some of the “air” out of the shot.

2️⃣ Set the shaft a little more upright

At address, feel like the shaft is just slightly more upright than your normal driver setup. This can help promote a more controlled delivery.

3️⃣ Commit to your normal swing

This is the big one! Don’t guide or steer the club just because you’re trying to hit the fairway. Make your regular, committed swing.

🎯 The result: A lower, more controlled ball flight with less unwanted deviation, giving you a better chance of finding the fairway.

Fairway first. Distance second.
Sometimes the smartest shot isn’t the longest one. 😉⛳️

Here’s a concise pro tip that will help you chip better!😉

* Keep the body quiet on the backswing – Let the arms control the takeaway while minimizing unnecessary body movement.

* Rotate through the shot:
From the downswing onward, allow the body to rotate together with the arms to move the club through impact.

* Arms back, body through:
A simple, repeatable sequence that promotes consistent contact and distance control.

* One technique for all chip shots: Whether it’s a standard chip or a high, soft-landing shot, the same fundamental motion applies. Only the setup and club selection may vary, and not the core technique.

Congratulations Taemin for winning the Singapore Junior Masters!

I’m glad to have played a small part in your journey this year in helping you gained distance off the tee. To hear that you were the longest out of all the players around the world made me so happy and proud of you.

It’s been an absolute privilege coaching this young and talented junior over the past year. Watching his game evolve has been incredibly rewarding!

From mostly sharpening his short game, to fine-tuning his swing mechanics, the progress he’s made has been nothing short of impressive.

A big thank you to his father, Alex, for the trust and support, and to the other coaches who have played a part in his development along the way.

Golf is truly a team effort behind the scenes, and it’s been great to be part of his journey.

Through his hard work, dedication, and determination, he’s managed to defend his title at the Singapore Junior Masters held at Laguna National Golf Club for the second consecutive year! A fantastic achievement and well deserved!

I’m proud of how far he’s come and excited to see what’s next as he continues to grow both as a player and as a person.

After winning the three day event by 9 strokes with a total score of -1, here’s your winner, Lee Taemin! ⛳👏🏆

Use your range finder to the fullest!

•The main goal is to know precisely how far you are from the target so you can choose the right club and shot type.

•Course management: Helps golfers make smarter decisions about where to aim, how much to carry over hazards, and how to approach greens.

Using a range finder appropriately certainly helps golfers know the exact distance, removing guesswork and improves your shot selection.
