Had so much fun on this one! (slide two)

Shout out to two rising stars behind the camera @emanb101 and @taeylortaylor__ who worked on this one with me. They’re part of our Emerging Talent Initiative, which is focused on diversifying below the line talent on our comedy productions. (slide three)

Yesterday, we had received news that our short film was selected to be in the 2022 Malibu international short film festival along with our previous selection to the Texas film festival. Condo At El Dorado is the first short film I contributed in as an actor and writer that I even attempted to send to festivals. So seeing it selected in a few so far is an honor in itself. The film was by no means perfect and had flaws in many ways, however, it was still an amazing experience and I wouldn’t change a thing. I learned things I excelled at and things to improve on as an artist and overall creator. Kanye West, who as you know is a huge inspiration of mine has this interview where he says’ “So many people are scared of failing that they don’t even try”. You can’t create beautiful material without trial and error and learning from your mistakes. I have a skill that helps me improve. It’s drive and confidence in myself. I’m confident I’ll get to where I want even if it means showing myself messing up a few times. This film showed my potential in myself and what’s possible. I chose stills of this scene specifically because it was the main scene I wrote in the film when I had received my co writers script. And it’s the house I grew in making its first film appearance. So that’s a special place in my heart of course. Thank you Andy for believing in me and letting me hop on in this project. You as well as the entire crew made this possible, and I’m forever thankful. Im more hungry than ever and I’m just getting started. I have a lot of projects in the making with many more to come. I appreciate the ones who are riding this journey with me or clapping for me in the stands❤️
