TAHAHNI SALMAN Representing Pakistan & New Zealand Red Carpet Ball Entertainment proudly introduces Miss National NZ & Worldwide 2026–2027 finalist Tahahni Salmon, representing New Zealand. Tahahni began modelling to support herself and her mother during a difficult period, but her journey soon became one of discovering her own confidence and beauty. She joined the pageant to honour her younger self and inspire others, especially young people, to believe that they belong and that their struggles do not define them. I’m so honoured to announce two things First, I have officially after a lot of hard work and determination become a finalist for NZ miss national and worldwide, being the first transwomen to be a finalist of miss national worldwide. I am so deeply grateful to myself to even be considered to compete in miss national let alone be the first finalist in there history to be a transwomen. I GENUINLY still do not beleave it and it doesint feel real. At 14 I didint think that I would even be alive at 18 let alone be competing on something of this scale, going to school having no friends and being always a afterthought, being always picked on by Difrent groups I ended up hating how I look, how I act and who I am, from taking just photos from a best friends camera to being cyber bullied because of the photos I’d take of myself in my room and put on my story’s when I knew I never could be a model creating my own little world in my mind with those photos just dreaming of who I wish I could be. to now being the first trans finalist on something as global as this. It’s truly hard to to comprehend for me, I still have days where things don’t make sense and I question everything, I still don’t feel as pretty as I want to and deep down it’s a struggle for me to even see myself as attractive and I fight that challange day by day and now making it to this level and making a mark like this, I don’t have words how grateful I am to this chapter of my life despite what could happen eve being considered for this is a win. Second, I have started my own business, I’m still on the polishing stages again I am so grateful to be able to be a part of this brand and all it has to offer. Thank you to the amazing women and my mentor who’s been helping me through the whole way and soon there will be information on my work instagram which is going to be listed on my bio and under this post As a final thing to say,now more then ever, I would love your guys support for me on this journey with miss national Il be linking my model page/ professional page so follow and come with me on this chapter of my life.
