As tangatawhenua of the land here in Aōtearoa NZ wearing a precious contemporary Kakahu receiving the honour to direct the very first Nowruz Cultural wear Fashion show in New Zealand. The celebration of the persian new year for Iran , Tajikistan, the Azerbaijan Republi , Afghanistan, and other parts of Central Asia, including Kurdish, Kazakh, Iraqi, Uzbek , Zoroastrian , Azerbaijani, and Turkish communities, Pakistan and among others.

To me is a tāonga I take seriously being invited into the ethnic groups right here in the heart of Tāmaki Makaurau.

being able to extend manakitanga
a core Māori value , to those around , hospitality, kindness, generosity, and care for others, emphasizing respect, support, and a sense of community.

I learn love from the people just as much as I hope they learn from us .

On stage moedlling were Families, solo , Groups & more representing proudly on stage as they make history being the very first in NZ to represent their ethnic group for Nowruz NZ Cultural wear Fashion show

I want to cry tears of Joy , seeing them all up there , standing on behalf of their people.

Thank you for having me @ellenmccentre @nowruzistanz

Honored to perform at this beautiful event organized by @nowruzistanz & @aucklandcouncil, with stunning captures by @amirography.official Special thanks to @Rasoulabbasi, @iamjadeepoppop and persian trust community for making it all possible!

2024 was a bad vibe, but it had its moments ✨🌌

Haven’t posted in forever because I didn’t really know what to say tbh. It’s been a rough year and a bit with the highest highs and the deepest most gut-curdling of lows. Even so, I’m learning to appreciate the good bits, so here’s a mood board ❤️
